Instructions

You can ask Firebean Limited to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time, free of charge. This page explains exactly how.

How to request deletion

Send an email to dickson@firebean.net with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”, and include:

• The identifier you used with us — your WhatsApp phone number in full international format (for example +852 1234 5678), and/or the email address you contacted us from.
• Which data you want deleted: WhatsApp conversation records, newsletter subscription, contact enquiry records, or all of the above.

You do not need an account with us to make a request, and you do not need to give a reason.

What happens next

• We acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
• We may ask one verification question to confirm the request comes from the owner of the number or email address. This is to stop someone else deleting your records.
• We complete deletion within 30 days of verifying the request, and confirm to you in writing once done.

What gets deleted

• WhatsApp Business records — your phone number, profile name, message content and message metadata held in our systems.
• Newsletter records — your email address and engagement history are removed from our mailing list.
• Enquiry records — contact form and email enquiry records identifying you.

Limits you should know about

• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Any conversation history with us will be gone.
• We may need to retain a minimal record where the law requires it — for example accounting and tax records for invoiced work, or where data is needed to resolve an ongoing dispute or legal claim. We will tell you if this applies and delete it once the obligation ends.
• Deleting your data on our side does not delete the copy of the conversation stored on your own device by WhatsApp, and does not delete data held by Meta Platforms under its own policies. To remove the conversation from your phone, delete the chat in WhatsApp. For data held by Meta, see Meta’s own privacy tools.
• Encrypted backups may retain data for a short residual period until they cycle out, normally within 30 days of deletion.

Just want to stop messages?

If you only want to stop receiving WhatsApp messages but keep your conversation history, reply STOP in the WhatsApp conversation instead. For newsletters, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.

您可隨時免費要求 Firebean Limited 刪除我們持有的您的個人資料。

提出方法：電郵至 dickson@firebean.net，主旨請寫「Data Deletion Request」，並提供您使用的 WhatsApp 電話號碼（完整國際格式，例如 +852 1234 5678）及／或您聯絡我們的電郵地址，並說明要刪除哪些資料（WhatsApp 對話紀錄、電子報訂閱、查詢紀錄，或全部）。

處理流程：我們會於 5 個工作日內確認收到，可能會問一個核實問題以確認申請人身分，並於核實後 30 日內完成刪除並以書面通知您。

請注意：刪除不可復原。法律要求保留的紀錄（例如已開立發票的會計及稅務紀錄）或處理進行中爭議所需的資料，我們可能須保留，並會在義務結束後刪除。此外，刪除我們一方的資料不會刪除您手機上 WhatsApp 儲存的對話副本，亦不會刪除 Meta 依其自身政策持有的資料。加密備份可能於刪除後約 30 日內仍有殘留副本，之後會自然輪替消失。

如只想停止接收訊息而保留對話紀錄，請在 WhatsApp 對話中回覆 STOP；電子報請使用電郵底部的取消訂閱連結。
