1. Who we are

Firebean Limited ("Firebean", "we", "us") is a public relations and creative agency incorporated in Hong Kong, with its registered office at Unit A, 23/F, Morrison Plaza, 5-9 Morrison Hill Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. We operate this website at firebean.net and provide communications services to our clients.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted.

2. Our general approach

Your privacy is important to us. It is Firebean Limited's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we are collecting it and how it will be used.

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

We do not share any personally identifying information publicly or with third parties, except when required to by law or as described in this policy.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

3. WhatsApp Business messaging

We operate a WhatsApp Business account on the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) provided by Meta Platforms. If you message us on WhatsApp, or consent to receive messages from us, we process the following data:

• Your WhatsApp phone number and WhatsApp profile name, as supplied by WhatsApp.
• Message content you send us, including text, images, documents and other attachments.
• Message metadata such as timestamps and delivery, read and failure statuses.

We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry, to provide the service or information you asked for, to send service and transactional updates you have opted into, and to keep records required for our legitimate business and legal purposes. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising targeting.

Messages are transmitted through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform and are therefore also subject to WhatsApp's and Meta's own terms and privacy practices. Messages received are processed on infrastructure operated by or for Firebean and access is limited to authorised Firebean personnel.

Retention. WhatsApp conversation records are retained for up to 24 months from the date of the last message in the conversation, after which they are deleted, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve a dispute.

Opting out. You can stop receiving messages from us at any time by replying STOP in the WhatsApp conversation, or by emailing us at the address below. You may also block or report the account from within WhatsApp.

4. Other data we collect

• Contact and enquiry data you submit to us by email or through forms — such as your name, email address, company and message.
• Newsletter data — where you subscribe to our mailing list, your email address and engagement with our emails. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in each email.
• Website analytics — we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, device and browser type. This is used in aggregate to understand and improve site performance. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out tools.

5. Service providers

We share data with a limited number of processors that help us operate, only to the extent needed to deliver the service: Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform messaging), Google (analytics, and Google Workspace for email and documents), our email delivery provider for newsletters, and our website hosting provider. We do not authorise these providers to use your data for their own unrelated purposes.

6. Your rights

Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and where applicable other data protection laws, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, to withdraw consent, and to request deletion of your data.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or our WhatsApp service after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
